I'm a 22 year old mother of two. I live in Wiltshire in England with my partner Richard and my children Esmé and Morrie. I've recently started offering up knitted nappy/diaper covers for sale. My shop can be found here:

I am passionate about breastfeeding and believe it is every childs birth right. If you have chosen to formula feed your children, despite knowing that it is the 4th best option and the risks associated with giving it, then you probably don't want to be on my friends list. If you have formula fed due to lack of support with breastfeeding then that is totally different.

I do not believe in letting my children cry it out. I believe that children cry because they are upset or in need of something. Leaving them to scream themselves to sleep is not acceptable to me.

I am against circumcision except for significant medical reasons, and no hygiene and aesthetics is not a significant reason. I don't believe any parent should have the right to mutilate their son's body in this way.

I am also passionate about natural birth and birthing without intervention. For the vast majority of women childbirth is a normal process. The more you educate and empower yourself the more satisfying and rewarding your birth experience will be. Not all births go the way you want them to, but learn from them so that you can teach others and make sure you don't make the same mistakes another time.

I use my journal a lot to vent. I have various levels of filtering and as I get to know someone the higher up they get and the more personal/sensitive entries they can see. I talk a lot about my children and my emotions on my journal so obviously I want to be sure I can trust someone before I let them see more about me. Nothing personal :-)

Both my children are in cloth nappies/diapers. I have a bit of an addiction for them!

"For optimal feeding to be considered normative behavior we must shift from discussing breastfeeding as a benefit and change to the recognition that lack of breastfeeding is a risk behavior. Babies who are not breastfed are more likely to develop allergies, have lower IQs, die of SIDS, be obese as children and as adults, and have risk factors for cardiac disease in later life. They will have an increased risk of certain cancers, as will their mothers who did not breastfeed. Perhaps, most importantly, these non-breastfed babies will have deficient immune systems, rendering them more susceptible to a wide variety of diseases and less able to fight the infectious diseases that they do experience."
